Stafford’s Commitment to Responsible Investing
ESG considerations embedded in our investment processes
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are intrinsic to the investment environment in which Stafford operates. As an investor in third-party funds, we undertake detailed pre-investment due diligence of potential funds, their managers, and underlying assets before making an investment decision. Once an investment is made, we maintain regular communication and work closely with the managers of investee funds on the ESG front to mitigate risks and capture opportunities.
Net Zero targets
Our strategies have evolved to reflect our commitment toward achieving Net-Zero, and similar to its predecessor fund, SISF V has specific and more ambitious climate-related investment targets as outlined below

Stafford has been a signatory of the PRI since 2010 and it has been awarded a 5-star rating in the latest PRI reporting cycle.
UN PRI
The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.
At Stafford we integrate the UN sustainable development goals into our responsible investment framework.
UN SDGs
The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals sit at the heart of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that was adopted by the UN member states in 2015.
Stafford is 1 out of 315 asset managers who has committed to initiative.
NZAM
The Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) Initiative is an international group of asset managers committed to supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius; and to supporting investing aligned with net zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.
Our current comingled fund SISF V is classified as an Article 8 fund under SFDR.
SFDR
The Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) is a European regulation introduced to improve transparency in the market for sustainable investment products, to prevent greenwashing and to increase transparency around sustainability claims made by financial market participants.
